JOHN E. LINES AM - SHIPPING CONSULTANT

The Australian Shipping Group was established by John E. Lines AM to leverage his experience in container shipping to benefit clients with their shipping and sea freight logistics.

John holds a Bachelor of Business (Transport and Economics) and has extensive experience in container shipping within Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific region. He is formally the Chief Executive Officer for ANL Container Line and has served on various boards and working groups including Chairman of Shipping Australia, and Chairman for Australia on the Asian Shipowners Forum.

John was awarded the Order of Australia for services to the Australian shipping industry, and the decoration of Chevalier de l’Odre du Merite Maritime from the French Government for services to the shipping industry.

John is recognised for his extensive practical experience across all facets of shipping with particular focus on customer service, staff relations and sustainable profitability. John’s success in revitalising the former Government owned shipping line ANL is legendary.
